After School Care at 4 Big Kids
At 4 Big Kids, our After School Care service is thoughtfully designed to support busy families by providing a safe, reliable and welcoming environment for children at the end of each school day.
We understand that afternoons can be a busy time for parents, which is why we make the transition from school to care smooth, simple and stress-free. From the moment the school bell rings, your child is in caring and capable hands.
Safe & Supervised School Pick-Ups
Your child’s safety is always our highest priority.
- Pre-Primary and Kindy children are collected directly from their classroom by our educators, ensuring a calm and secure transition.
- Older children are collected from a safe, designated meeting area located near the school office or Kiss ’n’ Ride zone.
Our team follows strict supervision procedures, including headcounts and clear communication systems, giving families peace of mind every afternoon.
A Relaxed & Welcoming Afternoon Environment
After a big day of learning, children need time to unwind. At 4 Big Kids, children are welcomed into a relaxed, friendly space where they can enjoy afternoon tea, connect with friends and participate in activities they genuinely enjoy.
We offer a balanced and flexible program that supports children’s social, emotional and physical wellbeing. Children are encouraged to share their ideas and have input into the activities offered, helping them feel valued and heard.
Engaging Activities & Experiences
Our After School Program provides a wide range of indoor and outdoor experiences to suit different ages, interests and abilities. Activities may include:
- Creative arts and craft
- Cooking experiences
- Music and dance
- Sports and team games
- Outdoor play and group challenges
- STEM and problem-solving activities
- Quiet reading and relaxation areas
We focus on building confidence, resilience and independence while encouraging positive friendships and respectful relationships between peers and educators.
One of the Art projects we did with the after-school children this term was this chair; they were all very excited to participate in the redecorating of it and couldn’t wait to add to it when they returned to the center after school.
Homework Support
For families who prefer homework to be completed before heading home, we provide designated quiet homework stations each afternoon. Our educators are available to guide and support children as needed, helping them develop responsibility and independent learning skills in a calm environment.
